Lae Airport
Interested in the photographs of Lae Airport at Nadzab. Is this the old WW 11
runway that was out of Lae on the road to the Eastern Highlands - Goroko ? If it is, then it is the same air strip where the SIL Piper Atzec crashed in 1972 killing all seven on board. Doug Hunt, the New Zealander was the pilot on the Piper when it went down in flames. Also if you any photos of the old National Bank building in Lae, I would be delighted to see how it looks now. Take care, Bob |

yes, Lae airport is now called Nadzab approx 20miles outside of Lae.
And yes again, it was where the crash occured. Next time we are in Lae, we will endeavour to take some pics of the BSP bank (ex National Bank) and recently purchaser of the Papua New Guinea Banking Corporation Bank - as per your request. cheers |

Pauls Coffee Shop
Paul I'm not sure if your on internet but if you are, you were fantastic, we would all hang out at your shop and you did put up with some crap from us!! My name is Pauline Robertson and you were very good friends with my sister Denise, I particularly remember one night over at your house, you guys wanted to party and Denise had Andrew and I, so you decided to put something in our drinks to help us sleep !!!! Great times, great to see your photo and your still there !
